Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has joined AC Milan on loan for the rest of the season. The deal for the 34-year-old includes an option for the Serie A club to make the move permanent in the summer. Right-back Walker informed City of his wish to leave the club and seek opportunities abroad earlier this month.

AC Milan have officially announced Sergio Conceicao as their new head coach, replacing Paulo Fonseca who was dismissed earlier on Monday. The 50 year old former Portugal international left his position as Porto manager after a trophy laden seven year spell in the summer and takes charge of a Milan side that sit eight in Serie A and 12th in the UEFA Champions League. His first game will be against Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana.

AC Milan have sacked manager Paulo Fonseca after just six months in charge following their 1-1 draw at home to Roma.The result left the seven-time European champions in eighth place in the Serie A table, 14 points adrift of joint-leaders Atalanta and Napoli. Former Porto manager Sérgio Conceição is expected to be appointed as his replacement.

Arsenal’s unbeaten run in this season’s Champions League was brought to an end by a controversial first-half penalty as Inter Milan won at the San Siro. Concerns over the future of San Siro mean it will not host the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League final. The governing body has stripped the stadium of the rights to stage the game, as its future remains up in the air. UEFA are worried “the Municipality of Milano could not guarantee that the San Siro and its surroundings would not be affected by refurbishments” and have re-opened the bidding process.
