The 2018 World Cup winner tested positive for testosterone after Juventus’ game against Udinese on August 20, 2023. The 30 year old has stated he will lodge an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The FAI’s long search for a new permanent head coach is set to continue with the association announcing that an appointment will be made in early April, with John O’Shea today named interim boss for the March window. Erling Haaland scored five in a stunning display of finishing as holders Manchester City thrashed Luton to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals. It was the Norwegian’s eighth hat-trick for City and he also became the first player to score five in a game twice for the club. City opened the scoring in the fourth minute when Kevin de Bruyne, who assisted the first four goals, was allowed time and space to cut the ball back for Haaland to convert.
