Russell gets better of Verstappen to win Sprint in Sao Paulo

Mercedes’ George Russell rose from P3 to win the Sprint Race in Sao Paulo ahead of Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz and his Silver Arrows teammate Lewis Hamilton. Kevin Magnussen claimed both his and Haas’ first Formula 1 pole as wet conditions set up a thrilling upset in Qualifying at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Magnussen will start Saturday’s Sprint in Brazil at the front of the grid, with world champion Max Verstappen second for Red Bull.

17-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko named in German squad for World Cup

Hansi Flick has named 17 year old Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko in Germany’s squad for the World Cup in Qatar. Flick has also included Mario Gotze, scorer of the winning goal in the 2014 final, in his squad which is Gotze’s first call up in five years.

Tiger Woods confirms return at Hero World Challenge

Tiger Woods has announced he will return to action at this year’s Hero World Challenge in his first outing since The 150th Open in July. The 15-time major champion took to Twitter to confirm his involvement in the 20-man tournament which is due to take place from December 1-4 in Albany.
