Italian great Paolo Rossi dies aged 64

Former Italy World Cup-winner Paolo Rossi has died aged 64. The former Juventus and AC Milan forward was instrumental in Italy’s 1982 World Cup victory, scoring the opening goal of the 3-1 final victory over West Germany as well as a hat-trick against Brazil earlier in the tournament.

VAR decisive as Liverpool draw with Midtjylland

A much-changed Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Midtjylland in their final Champions League Group D game after VAR denied Takumi Minamino a late winner. Mohamed Salah gave the Reds the lead inside 55 seconds but an Alexander Scholz penalty earned the hosts a draw.
