Turkey replaces Canada on Formula 1 calendar

The Canadian Grand Prix has been cancelled for the second successive year due to Covid-19 and will be replaced in its June slot by the Turkish Grand Prix. Strict quarantine measures in place in Montreal created a logistic barrier that forced the change to the calendar.

Sprint Qualifying to debut at three Grands Prix in 2021

Formula 1 will introduce shorter Saturday races at three events this year in a new format called Sprint Qualifying after the concept was given the green light. The new races, which will run to 100km and from which the finishing order will form the grid for the main Sunday Grand Prix, will be held at two European venues and one non-European venue.
