Groups Drawn for 2021/22 Champions League
Manchester City have been drawn with Lionel Messi’s Paris Saint Germain while Liverpool have been landed in a testing group as the draw for the 2021-22 Champions League group phase has been made.
City, who reached the final last year, have been landed in a group with PSG, RB Leipzig and Club Brugge.
Holders Chelsea will face Juventus in the group stage of this season’s Champions League, with Zenit St Petersburg and Swedish outfit Malmo making up the quartet.
Six-time winners Liverpool will return to the scene of their 2019 triumph, the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, after being paired with Atletico Madrid, with Porto and seven-time winners AC Milan also included.
Manchester United face a Europa League final rematch against Villarreal, with Serie A entertainers Atalanta and Young Boys making up the quartet.
Other eye-catching pairings in the draw for the group stage, which was made by organisers UEFA this evening, saw Inter Milan pitted with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich up against Barcelona.
Meanwhile, group stage debutants Sheriff Tiraspol have been drawn in Group D alongside Inter, Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk.

This year’s Champions League final takes place at the St Petersburg Stadium in Russia on Saturday, 28 May.
