Portugal to return to F1 calendar in 2027 & 2028

Portugal will return to the Formula 1 calendar in 2027 and 2028. The race will be held at the Algarve International Circuit near Portimao, which held two grands prix during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. Portugal will effectively be a replacement for the Dutch Grand Prix, which will be held at Zandvoort for the last time next year. Portimao is a 2.89-mile track that swoops over hilly terrain and is highly regarded for its driving challenge.

Formula 1 announces 24 race calendar for 2024

The 2024 F1 season will start with two Saturday night Grands Prix in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, next year’s record 24-race calendar revealed on Wednesday. Bahrain will host the first race of the season on Saturday March 2 with Formula 1 heading to the streets of Jeddah the following week.

Formula 1 has announced a record 23 race calendar for the 2021 season with the Vietnam Grand Prix notably not included. F1 has never previously staged more than 21 races in a single season and 2021 sees a return of the Dutch Grand Prix and introduction of a race in Saudi Arabia.

Turkey among 4 races added to 2020 F1 calendar

Formula 1 has confirmed the final four races for the 2020 season, including Turkey’s return after a nine-year absence and two grands prix in Bahrain. The season will conclude at the Yas Marina Circuit on December 13th in Abu Dhabi.
