Roman Yaremchuk scored a crucial winner for Ukraine as they came from behind to beat Slovakia and keep their Euro 2024 campaign alive. Ivan Schranz scored after 17 minutes to put Slovakia in front, with his second goal in as many games, before Ukraine came back to seal a huge victory. Mykola Shaparenko started the fightback in the 54th minute with Yaremchuk finding the winner in the final ten minutes.

Romania recorded their first victory at a European Championship in 24 years with a stunning win over Ukraine in Group E. Captain Nicolae Stanciu gave Romania a surprise lead in the 29th minute, finding the top corner with a brilliant strike from 20 yards out. Razvan Marin then doubled the Tricolours’ lead after 53 minutes with Denis Dragus rounding out the scoring.

Chelsea have completed the signing of Ukraine forward Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk. The winger was a long time target of Arsenal with the Gunners in talks to sign him however the Blues moved quickly to pay the asking price set by the Ukrainian club to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Nathan Collins’ sublime individual goal earned Ireland a 1-1 draw away to Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League. The 21 year old centre back’s first half strike gave Ireland the lead but the hosts responded just minutes into the second half through Artem Dovbyk with both sides unable to find a winner in Łódź.
