Superb Sainz wins Mexican GP as Verstappen and Norris clash again

Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz took a controlled victory in the Mexican Grand Prix, beating Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc to take his second win of the year. Sainz passed early leader Max Verstappen soon after a Safety Car restart and never looked back, winning by five seconds. Verstappen finished in sixth place after the stewards handed him a combined 20 seconds of penalties after a pair of incidents involving Norris.

Sainz storms to pole in Mexico ahead of Verstappen

Carlos Sainz took a sensational pole position for the Mexico City Grand Prix by beating title protagonists Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. Sainz took his first pole for over a year with two laps that were good enough for pole as Verstappen rescued his qualifying after his first lap in Q3 was deleted for track limits. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc will lineup P4 ahead of the Mercedes duo of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.
