Wolves have sacked head coach Vitor Pereira after their winless start to the Premier League season continued with a 3-0 defeat at Fulham on Saturday. Wolves’ defeat at Craven Cottage followed a first-half red card to defender Emmanuel Agbadou, with Pereira subjected to chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning” by the travelling fans. The Portuguese tactician signed a new contract at the Molineux just 45 days ago.

Sean Dyche has agreed verbally to take over as Nottingham Forest’s new manager. Negotiations progressed late on Sunday night, with both parties keen to sort a deal quickly, and in time for Dyche to have some time preparing the team before Thursday’s Europa League match against Porto.

Nottingham Forest have sacked Ange Postecoglou after he failed to win any of his eight games in charge. Forest were beaten 3-0 at home by Chelsea on Saturday lunchtime and within 20 minutes of the full-time whistle, the club announced Postecoglou had been dismissed. By that time, he had already left the City Ground after just 39 days at the helm. Sean Dyche is an early contender to take over the Reds.

Keith Andrews says Brentford’s potential is “massive” after he was appointed as their new head coach on a three-year deal following Thomas Frank’s departure to Tottenham. Former Wolves midfielder Andrews, 44, joined the Bees last summer to work under Frank as the club’s set-piece coach. Having previously been on the coaching staff with Sheffield United, MK Dons and the Republic of Ireland, Andrews’ promotion to the top job is the Irishman’s first step into management.
