Verstappen beats Leclerc to pole in Saudi Arabia

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was in imperious form as he set pole position at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Verstappen did not need a second lap in final qualifying as he beat Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc by 0.319 seconds while his teammate Sergio Perez will start third ahead of the impressive Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez takes pole ahead of Saudi Arabian GP

Red Bull’s Sergio Perez took pole position for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after team-mate Max Verstappen suffered a power problem. Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso will line up second on the grid because Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who qualified second, has a 10-place grid penalty for engine usage.

Perez pips Ferrari duo to take maiden pole ahead of Saudi Arabian GP

Red Bull’s Sergio Perez produced a superb lap to pip the Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz to pole ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The session was delayed by over an hour after a nasty Q2 incident saw Haas’ Mick Schumacher hit the barriers at high speed requiring a lengthy clean up and trip to the hospital for precautionary checks.
