AC Milan sack manager Sérgio Conceição

AC Milan have sacked coach Sergio Conceicao after just six months in charge of the Serie A club. Former manager Massimiliano Allegri – who spent four years in charge at San Siro between 2010 and 2014 – is reportedly set, external for a return. Conceicao, 50, was handed the job last December after the the sacking of Paulo Fonseca and signed an 18-month deal which included a break clause in June 2025 which has now been activated.

Napoli down Cagliari pipping Inter to Scudetto

Goals from Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku powered Napoli to a two nil victory over Cagliari to secure the club’s fourth Seire A title at the expense of Inter Milan. Milan beat ten man Como two nil but needed to better Napoli’s result to retain the Scudetto title. Manager Antonio Conte has now won five Serie A titles with three different clubs, Simeone Inzaghi will look to pick his Inter side up as they prepare for the Champions League final next weekend.

Juventus sack manager Thiago Motta and appoint Igor Tudor

Juventus have sacked manager Thiago Motta after just nine months in charge and replaced him Croatian Igor Tudor. Former Italy international Motta, 42, departs with the 36-time Serie A champions one point outside the Champions League qualification places in fifth. His final match in charge was a 3-0 defeat at Fiorentina last weekend, having been thrashed 4-0 at home by Atalanta the previous week.

Kyle Walker joins AC Milan on loan from Manchester City

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has joined AC Milan on loan for the rest of the season. The deal for the 34-year-old includes an option for the Serie A club to make the move permanent in the summer. Right-back Walker informed City of his wish to leave the club and seek opportunities abroad earlier this month.

AC Milan appoint Sérgio Conceição as head coach

AC Milan have officially announced Sergio Conceicao as their new head coach, replacing Paulo Fonseca who was dismissed earlier on Monday. The 50 year old former Portugal international left his position as Porto manager after a trophy laden seven year spell in the summer and takes charge of a Milan side that sit eight in Serie A and 12th in the UEFA Champions League. His first game will be against Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana.
