Norris shines to take Sao Paulo sprint pole

Lando Norris took pole position for the sprint race at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix with McLaren team-mate and title rival Oscar Piastri in third. The Briton beat Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli by 0.097 seconds, while Piastri was 0.185secs adrift of the Briton in third. Norris took the championship lead from Piastri by one point with victory in Mexico City two weeks ago. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen the only other realistic title contender could only manage sixth.

Verstappen edges Norris to take Sprint pole in Austin

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen beat McLaren’s title rivals Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri to take pole for the sprint race at the United States Grand Prix. Verstappen, with the very last lap of the session, displaced Norris at the top of the timesheets by 0.071 seconds in Austin. Piastri, leading Norris by 22 points in the championship with six races to go, was 0.309secs behind his team-mate. Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg was a sensational fourth.

Piastri passes Norris to win rain-delayed Belgian GP

Oscar Piastri passed McLaren team-mate Lando Norris on the first racing lap of a wet-dry Belgian Grand Prix to take his sixth victory of the year and extend his championship lead. The Australian swept past Norris as the race started after an hour-and-a-half delay for heavy rain and two laps behind the safety car and controlled the race from there.
