The club confirmed the news in a statement this afternoon, saying that Dyche and his coaching staff were departing with immediate effect and that the process to find his replacement was underway.

Gordon misses penalty as Everton hold Newcastle

Anthony Gordon missed a penalty in front of the Gwladys Street End as Newcastle and Everton played out a 0-0 draw. The 23-year-old centre-back has signed a four-year deal and returns to the Premier League, having only joined the Ligue 1 club from Crystal Palace last year. Everton docked two points for second financial breach

Everton have been deducted two points for a second breach of Premier League financial rules. Profit and sustainability rules (PSR) permit clubs to lose £105m over three years and an independent commission found Everton breached that by £16.6m for the three-year period to 2022-23. They drop one place to 16th and are now two points above the relegation zone.
