McLaren’s Oscar Piastri beat Red Bull’s Max Verstappen to pole position at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in a qualifying session that featured an enormous accident for Red Bull’s Yuki Tsunoda. Piastri edged Verstappen by 0.034 seconds despite encountering traffic in the final two corners and failing to improve his time in the final sector. Verstappen surges to pole position ahead of Miami GP

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen beat McLaren’s Lando Norris to pole position at the Miami Grand Prix. Verstappen headed Norris by 0.065 seconds while Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli grabbed third ahead of the second McLaren of Oscar Piastri. Mercedes’ George Russell was fifth ahead of the Williams of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon, as Ferrari struggled, with Charles Leclerc eighth and Lewis Hamilton down in 12th.

Antonelli storms to maiden pole ahead of Miami Sprint

Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli became the youngest driver to take a Formula 1 pole position for the sprint event at the Miami Grand Prix. The 18-year-old beat McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, the championship leader, by 0.045 seconds. The second McLaren of Lando Norris was third ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. Antonelli’s team-mate George Russell was fifth fastest, 0.309secs slower than the Italian rookie. It was an outstanding performance from Antonelli, the first time he has beaten Russell in qualifying this season.

Piastri charges to victory in Bahrain ahead of Russell

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri took a controlled, dominant victory in the Bahrain Grand Prix to close on team-mate Lando Norris in the world championship. The Australian was serene in the lead, calmly keeping himself out of reach of his rivals, as Mercedes’ George Russell held off an assault from the second McLaren of Lando Norris for second. Norris, fighting back from sixth on the grid and a five-second penalty for a false start, had a chance to pass Russell going into the final lap, but could not make it work.
