Southampton appoint Ivan Juric as new manager

Southampton have appointed Ivan Juric as their new manager on an 18-month deal. The Croat replaces Russell Martin, who was sacked by the Saints last week after their 5-0 thrashing by Tottenham. Juric, 49, was most recently manager of AS Roma, but was sacked in November after just 12 matches in charge. The Southampton job marks Juric’s first managerial role outside Italy.

Southampton have sacked manager Russell Martin after their 5-0 hammering by Tottenham on Sunday. The result leaves Southampton bottom of the Premier League and nine points adrift of safety. Tottenham to face Man City in FA Cup fourth round

FA Cup holders Manchester City have been drawn away to Tottenham in the fourth round, while Maidstone United – the lowest-ranked side left in the competition – travel to Championship high-flyers Ipswich. There could also be a non-League versus Premier League tie between Eastleigh and Manchester United, if the fifth-tier side win their home third-round replay against League Two Newport and if United beat Wigan on Monday night.
