Foden the hero as City comeback to win Manchester Derby

Phil Foden scored twice in the second half as Manchester City came from behind to beat Manchester United 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium. Marcus Rashford’s thumping long shot had given Erik ten Hag’s team an unlikely lead in the Manchester derby and Erling Haaland’s shocking miss from much closer range allowed United to retain the lead until the interval. Paul Pogba vows to appeal four year doping ban

France and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been banned from football for four years for a doping offence. The 2018 World Cup winner tested positive for testosterone after Juventus’ game against Udinese on August 20, 2023. The 30 year old has stated he will lodge an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

John O’Shea appointed interim Republic of Ireland manager

The FAI’s long search for a new permanent head coach is set to continue with the association announcing that an appointment will be made in early April, with John O’Shea today named interim boss for the March window. The former Man United player will be assisted for Paddy McCarthy for the games against Belgium and Switzerland.
