Onana error hands Lyon late leveller against United

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana was at fault for two goals as a last-gasp Lyon equaliser put Manchester United’s Europa League quarter-final tie in the balance at the halfway stage. United went behind after 25 minutes when under-pressure Onana failed to get a strong enough hand to Thiago Almada’s wide free-kick. In the final seconds of the first half Leny Yoro equalised and the visitors thought they had won late on when substitute Joshua Zirkzee headed home however Rayan Cherki tapped in a late equaliser.

Manchester United sign André Onana from Inter Milan for €51m

Manchester United have completed the £47.2m signing of Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan. Onana has signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford with the option of a further year, as he replaces the departed David De Gea, who left the club after 12 years as the club’s first-choice stopper.
