Slot has been charged with acting in an improper manner and/or using insulting and/or abusive words and/or behaviour towards both the match referee and an assistant referee.

Arsenal’s Kai Havertz ruled out for the rest of the season

Arsenal striker Kai Havertz will miss the remainder of the season after being told he needs surgery to repair a hamstring injury. The Gunners confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the damage the 25-year-old Germany international suffered during a warm-weather training camp in Dubai last week requires an operation. Havertz will then begin a period of rehabilitation which will rule him out until the summer.

Plymouth Argyle produced a classic FA Cup giant-killing as the Championship’s bottom club stunned Premier League leaders Liverpool at a raucous Home Park. A scrappy tie came to life eight minutes after the interval when Plymouth were awarded a penalty after Harvey Elliott’s handball, Ryan Hardie drilling home the spot-kick in emphatic fashion. Belgian footballer Radja Nainggolan arrested in drug trafficking probe

Belgian footballer Radja Nainggolan has been arrested as part of an investigation into cocaine trafficking. The 36-year-old was one of several suspects apprehended by Belgian police on Monday morning, after a series of raids were carried out across the country. Nainggolan played for the Belgian national team as well as Serie A giants AS Roma and Inter Milan.

Manchester United legend Denis Law dies, aged 84

Former Scotland, Manchester United and Manchester City striker Denis Law – the only Scottish player to have won the Ballon d’Or – has died at the age of 84. The man dubbed ‘The King’ and ‘The Lawman’ spent 11 years at Old Trafford, his 237 goals in 404 appearances placing him third in United’s history behind Wayne Rooney and Bobby Charlton.
