Mark Travers completes Everton move

Everton have completed the signing of goalkeeper Mark Travers on a four-year contract until the end of June 2029. The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international joins the Blues from Bournemouth, where he spent nine years after signing in 2016. Travers earned 82 appearances for the Cherries, while also experiencing loans spells at Weymouth, Swindon Town and Stoke City, along with Middlesbrough.

Chelsea and Aston Villa have been fined by Uefa for breaching the European governing body’s financial rules. competitions for the forthcoming season unless they have a positive transfer balance by the end of the summer transfer window. Chelsea have been fined 31m euros (£26.7m) and could be fined a further 60m euros (£51.2m) if they do not comply with the rules in the next four years.

Liverpool reject Bayern Munich approach for Diaz

Liverpool have formally rejected an approach from Bayern Munich for their 28-year-old Colombian winger Luis Diaz. Keith Andrews appointed as new Brentford coach

Keith Andrews says Brentford’s potential is “massive” after he was appointed as their new head coach on a three-year deal following Thomas Frank’s departure to Tottenham. Former Wolves midfielder Andrews, 44, joined the Bees last summer to work under Frank as the club’s set-piece coach. Having previously been on the coaching staff with Sheffield United, MK Dons and the Republic of Ireland, Andrews’ promotion to the top job is the Irishman’s first step into management.
