Barcelona have suffered another significant injury blow after confirming on Wednesday that Pedri will be out for the foreseeable future with a hamstring injury. Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna is among the candidates to replace Brendan Rodgers at Celtic while Martin O’Neill has ruled out taking over the position on a permanent basis. Ex-Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has also been linked with a return to the club. The 60-year-old is out of work after being sacked by Nottingham Forest after just 39 days.

Juventus have sacked their head coach, Igor Tudor, after failing to win their last eight matches in all competitions, the Serie A club said on Monday. Tudor’s last game in charge was a 1-0 loss away to Lazio that leaves them eight in the Serie A standings. Massimo Brambilla, head coach of the reserve team, will temporarily take over as the first team manager with his first game coming at home to Udinese on Wednesday.

McLaren’s Lando Norris took the championship lead for the first time since April with a dominant victory in the Mexico City Grand Prix. Norris was serenely out of reach of some incidents behind him as he kept the lead from pole position and controlled the race from there. Norris leads the championship by just one point from team-mate Oscar Piastri, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who finished third just behind Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, is 36 points off the lead.
