Sheffield Wednesday handed further six-point deduction

Sheffield Wednesday have been given a further six-point deduction by the English Football League for regulation breaches leaving them 27 points from safety in the Championship. Former owner Dejphon Chansiri has also received a three-year ban from owning or being a director at any EFL club. Their latest deduction follows the failure to pay players in March, May and June, as well as other non-payments to staff and HMRC.

Wolves have appointed Rob Edwards as their new head coach after he left Middlesbrough to join the Premier League’s bottom side. Edwards has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Molineux. Wolves sack manager Vítor Pereira as win-less season continues

Wolves have sacked head coach Vitor Pereira after their winless start to the Premier League season continued with a 3-0 defeat at Fulham on Saturday. Wolves’ defeat at Craven Cottage followed a first-half red card to defender Emmanuel Agbadou, with Pereira subjected to chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning” by the travelling fans.
