Verstappen storms to pole ahead of US Grand Prix

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen beat McLaren’s Lando Norris to pole position at the United States Grand Prix with championship leader Oscar Piastri down in sixth. After the McLaren drivers crashed out of the sprint earlier on Saturday, neither was able to challenge Verstappen even though the world champion failed to complete a final run in qualifying. Verstappen was sent out too late to get around in time to start a last lap before the chequered flag but still beat Norris by 0.291 seconds.

Verstappen edges Norris to take Sprint pole in Austin

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen beat McLaren’s title rivals Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri to take pole for the sprint race at the United States Grand Prix. Verstappen, with the very last lap of the session, displaced Norris at the top of the timesheets by 0.071 seconds in Austin. Piastri, leading Norris by 22 points in the championship with six races to go, was 0.309secs behind his team-mate. Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg was a sensational fourth.

Hamilton and Leclerc disqualified from US Grand Prix for technical breach

Lewis Hamilton lost his second-place finish at the United States Grand Prix after being disqualified when his Mercedes failed a physical floor and plank wear inspection after Sunday’s race. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc was found guilty of the same offence, and also disqualified from his sixth-place finish.

Verstappen charges from P6 to win US Grand Prix ahead of Hamilton

Max Verstappen climbed up from sixth on the grid to win the US Grand Prix after a close battle with McLaren’s Lando Norris and the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen was measured, slowly picking off the cars in front of him and then managing his pace to take a 14th victory of his record-breaking season.

Verstappen eases to Sprint victory in Austin

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen took victory in the sprint race at the United States Grand Prix ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. The world champion robustly defended the lead from Leclerc’s Ferrari off the line and held off a brief threat from Hamilton in the early laps before cruising into the distance.
