Marcus Rashford has joined Aston Villa on loan from Manchester United for the remainder of the season. The 27-year-old forward had also been linked with moves to AC Milan and Barcelona this month after falling out of favour at his boyhood club. Rashford, who joined United at the age of seven, has scored 138 goals in 426 appearances since breaking into the first team in 2016 but has not played since 12 December.

Arsenal had a late goal disallowed as they dropped two points in the Premier League title race after throwing away a two-goal lead at home to Aston Villa.Kai Havertz thought he had found the winner with a minute left in normal time but the goal was disallowed after replays showed he handled Mikel Merino’s shot. Graham Potter suffered defeat in his first game as West Ham boss as Aston Villa came from behind to reach the FA Cup fourth round. Two goals in five second-half minutes from Amadou Onana and Morgan Rogers completed the hosts’ comeback, although the Hammers were furious referee Tim Robinson incorrectly awarded a corner in the build-up to Onana’s leveller.
