The four-time and reigning World Champion’s future has been one of the hottest topics in the Formula 1 paddock this campaign, with it confirmed by Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff several weeks ago that he was having conversations with Verstappen about a drive for the Silver Arrows.

Luis Díaz joins Bayern Munich in €75m deal from Liverpool

German champions Bayern Munich have sealed the signing of Liverpool forward Luis Diaz. The Colombian spent three-and-a-half seasons at Anfield, winning the Premier League, FA Cup and two League Cups after his move from FC Porto in January 2022. Diaz was also a part of the side that reached the 2022 UEFA Champions League final. He scored 41 goals in 148 total appearances for Liverpool.

James Trafford rejoins Man City from Burnley

Manchester City have re-signed goalkeeper James Trafford from Burnley. Trafford has signed a five-year deal with the option of an extra year and will compete with Ederson for the No 1 shirt under Pep Guardiola. Wout van Aert denied Tadej Pogacar a prestigious win on the final stage of this year’s Tour de France as the Slovenian secured his fourth Tour title. Reigning champion Pogacar had a lead of more than four minutes heading into the final day, when only the stage win would be contested in Paris. With rain falling in the French capital, the 26-year-old established himself in a six-man breakaway during a thrilling finale on the same circuit used for last year’s Olympic race.
